The most useful console commands CS:GO

There are different levels of professionalism in CS: GO – someone else is playing only with harmless bots, and someone easily drops everyone on the servers and at the same time can get into the game code and adjust some aspects of it for themselves, for their exceptional convenience .

If you shoot like a pro can only get out after enough game trainings, then you can deal with console commands that deeply change the CS: GO settings even for absolute beginners – and our tutorial will help!

How to enter console commands

With the help of special codes, or cs go console commands, you can feel the power of developers and change the game the way you want. Well, or almost so, because the number of available commands is limited and to a deep basis of the game gamers are not allowed.

To enter console commands during gameplay, you need to open a special console. By default, this is done by a tilde, that is, a button with an “~” (the same button corresponds to the Russian “ё”).

But before using this “miracle”, it may be necessary to do some actions:

  • Open game settings from the start interface or directly from the game;
  • Find the item “Enable Developer Console” and set the value to “Yes”.

As a result, the tilde should work. After pressing “~” you can just start typing a command. All symbols must be correct, otherwise it will not work. At the end, press “Enter”, and then the command will take effect. To remove the console window, you must press either the tilde again, or the Esc button.

The same commands can be used to configure the server.

Different types of teams

You can distinguish two types of console commands CS GO:

  • those that simply activate certain changes on their own or using the standard for CS: GO rules 0-1, where the digit 0 after the command means the inclusion, and 1 – the trip;
  • and those to which you want to add numerical values, for example, setting the time in seconds, the size in pixels, and the number of virtual objects. Many such digital parameters are limited to a clearly defined set, or they can not go beyond some maximum or minimum.

The list below indicates what digital parameters mean after the command of the CS GO and what are the limitations for them.

Among a huge number of console teams, we have selected for you guys the most useful that can really come in handy in your game.

Commands for adjusting the sight

To skillfully deal with virtual opponents, it is worth using the most convenient for you sight. You can do this through the game settings, but the number of parameters is limited there. Console codes give much more extensive opportunities – these are really the commands that affect the shooting in CS GO!

crosshair 0-1 – turns off (0) or turns on (1) the sight.
cl_crosshairstyle 0-4 – sight style. The numbers in the team mean: the default sight (0); static default sight (1); classic sight (2); dynamic classic sight (3); static classic sight (4).
cl_crosshaircolor 0-5 – the color of the sight. The numbers mean red (0), green (1), yellow (2), blue (3), blue (4), and user (5). To adjust the color of the sight after entering the command cl_crosshaircolor 5, you must enter the RGB color settings. They are specified by the following commands:

  • cl_crosshaircolor_r 0-255 – the saturation of red;
  • cl_crosshaircolor_g 0-255 – the saturation of the green;
  • cl_crosshaircolor_b 0-255 – the saturation of blue.
  • cl_crosshairsize 0,5-∞ – the length of the lines of sight, given in figures.
  • cl_crosshairthickness 0,5-∞ – the thickness of the lines of sight. Also set by numbers.
  • cl_crosshairgap ∞ – the size of the interval between the divisions of the sight. The default value is 0, a negative value is also acceptable. It is known that most professional players use -1.
  • cl_crosshairdot 0-1 – removes (0) or adds (1) a point in the center of the sight. If you specify two commands cl_crosshairsize 0 and cl_crosshairdot 1, then there will be a dot instead of a sight;
  • cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0-1 – removes (0) or draws (1) a dark stroke around the sight.
  • cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 0-3 – the thickness of the stroke. The parameter is given by digits, meaning the number of pixels.
  • cl_crosshairusealpha 0-1 – turns off (0) or turns on (1) the transparency of the sight.
  • cl_crosshairalpha 0-255 – the saturation of the transparency of the sight, given in figures. This command works only if the previous one is active, that is cl_crosshairusealpha 1.

Commands to improve performance

Despite the fact that the game CS GO was released in 2012 and the developers tried to adapt it to the maximum number of computers, yet on some “hardware” this shooter can show far not the maximum of its capabilities. Often this can be seen from the number of frames per second.

Let’s list several commands related to performance:

  • cl_showfps 0-5 – enable (1) or turn off (0) the dynamic indicator, showing the current number of FPS (frames per second). Try also the values 2-5 to see a variety of technical information on the display.

  • r_eyemove 0 – makes the characters’ eyes static. The value 1 again turns them on.
  • r_gloss 0-1 – turn on (1) and turn off (0) the brightness of the eyes.
  • fps_max 0 – removes the restriction on the maximum number of frames per second. Perhaps your computer is really capable of more, then it is worth removing the limits. To return a restriction, you must enter a value of 1.

Binding commands to selected keys

In order to quickly activate any console command, you can associate it with a button on the keyboard. For example, you click on only one button, and the character already has absolute invulnerability. To do this, there is a special code that you also need to enter into the console. It looks like:

bind button “command”

That is, to enable the invulnerability mode with the M button, we enter into the console:

bind M “god”

The quotes here separate the command from the button. They can be put in both values or only in one, and in any.

Also, you can bind several commands to one button if you separate them in quotation marks with a semicolon “;”. For example, this:
bind: M “god; sv_infinite_ammo 2 “- the M button (English) activates both the invulnerability mode and an unlimited supply of cartridges with automatic replenishment of the clip.
